Tonight was calm, clear and just beautiful. The action however was very sparse. However I did not capitalize on all the opportunities that presented themselves.
Just before dark there was an incredible hatch of insects. The best way to describe them would be to say they were miniature albino may flies. These critters were not biting insects, however they were incredibly annoying. They clung to any and all surfaces including my eyes, ears and entire face. These tiny flies also signaled it was dinner time for the mighty predatory dragonfly.
These large winged creatures looked like Japanese Zeroes waiting for an opportune time to rush in for the kill.
