Comments

It was a short fishing trip, but I did a lot of exploring in a very short period. I basically tried main lake weed edges and the area where Somners Chute dumps in. Besides the one bass I had a rather large pike bite me off. The bite off should never have happened. You see I have had very little pike action this summer so I figured I could get by without a leader. The dumb part about it is I took a swim jig from my tackle box that already had a leader on it and I cut it off. Was I asking for trouble or what?

Observations

The rice to the south and west of the Prairie Cut is really starting to spring up.
