Comments

1. Had a weird experience tonight. Very near to where I set up for fishing was a pair of waders floating in the water. I do not think anybody was attached to them, but I did not inspect too closely. If there was someone attached I would have been too late to help. Also, the coyotes on the islands were really very vocal. This is the first time I have heard coyotes on the islands.

Lessons

If you are catching fish and others are not, share your fortunes with them. **A little boy and his grandfather were fishing nearby, but they were not catching anything. As I continued to catch fish he came nearer and nearer trying to catch fish himself. I started letting him reel in the fish. I know this really made his day.
Good fishing is probably closer than you think.

Lessons

Fished with a friend I had graduated from high school with (Norm). Norm was suppose to pick me up by boat at the Genoa Dam sand bar. I got off late from work so, I was not at the pick-up spot at the pre-arranged time. Norm went back to the landing thinking he had mis-interpreded the pick up spot. It was a very windy day and on his journey back a gust of wind blew a life jacket out of the boat. He let go of the tiller on the boat in an attempt to catch it. The boat immediately spun around and he was thrown into the water. Luckily for him some fisherman me were close by and rescued him and retrieved his boat. **Just goes to show you it is always a good idea to wear a life jacket when on the water**.
