5-17-2009 Day 29-338 to go
5:00am-9:30am

Weather SE 6, clear, Frost, 37°, 30.36 rising

Turkey Hunting

20 lb 2oz .gobbler shot at 0930.

Lessons

• Late season turkey hunting is lots harder than early season. We continually chased toms for the first three hours, but they continually moved away from our set-up.
• If the gobblers will not give away their location when you hen yelp, try crow calling. Usually they will give away their position with a gobble.

Area Hunted

1. Jeremy Pank’s farm.

Observations –
• Swallows are attempting to build a nest in the garage.
• Bleeding hearts are in full bloom.
• Lilac blooms are waning.
