This morning was an early adventure before work. I was not sure if the ice would be strong enough to support me, but a walk to the end of the dock and a step onto the ice confirmed safe ice.
My hopes of catching any fish faded very quickly after drilling a series of holes. What I discovered was cloudy water and a substantial amount of current. Today was not a day for catching fish, but a day for an ice fishing education. I guess I confirmed that panfish do not like current when the ice is covering the water.
