It was Sunday evening, I had no plans and I had not been fishing yet today. That was about to change. My plan was to fish the last couple of hours of daylight in search of walleyes. I fished a couple of my old reliable spots that I know I can catch a walleye or two when the fish are in the back sloughs and are active. That idea lasted about one hour and with no fish yet in the boat it was time for plan number two.
Then next half hour I did some exploring up the Black River looking for some future flat head waters. I did end up finding some promising looking future spots.
Since I had not yet caught a fish, the last half hour was dedicated to bass and pike. Fortunately I caught enough fish to calm my bruised ego.

Observations:

The water is starting to drop and it is now very clear, but fast.
