I was torn between fishing here or Half-Way creek, of course I picked the loser. Last year this spot was very good for crappies, but this year it has been dead. Some fisherman were catching dog fish and largemouth bass, but other than that there was not much action.
The ice is still holding up, but we have had some rain and more is forecasted. With the rain and the extended warmer temperatures I suspect most of the ice will be gone by next week.
