This evening I got back to a remote northern Wisconsin lake I have not fished in at least ten years. The last time I was here I got to fish it about ten minutes before it got dark. I caught a nine inch bluegill and the seed was planted in my mind.
Here I am with Jake ten years later looking for what I thought would be jumbo bluegills looking for a fast ride to the surface. It took about one hour and ten holes to determine the lake was not teeming with gills of any size. Although we did not catch any fish it was refreshing to be fishing in such a beautiful remote lake.
