8-14-18

8-14-18 6pm-11pm
Where/What: Mississippi R. pool 7 flat head fishing
Weather: (1853) S9, 85º, clear, 29.90 steady
H20: ?º, mostly clear, 5.74 falling, 40 kcfs
Caught: bait: bluegills and a couple of crappies, Me: one 6 lb. flat head

Observations: The river is continuing to drop and some areas look impassible. There was an incredibly large bug hatch again tonight.

The flat head fishing was not that good tonight. I did manage to catch one little one and Scott missed a couple of bites, but that was it. We once again found the bluegills amongst the snags, but the rocks sure was not attracting them.
