This morning I headed out early with Kyle to do a little bass fishing. We did quite a lot of running and gunning and ended up with very little to show for it. The highlight of the morning was a plastic frog whistling by my head. This was on account of a missed hook-set by Kyle. It brought back flashbacks of basic training and the overhead fire course. I always felt nervous about that course and I still feel nervous about a lure zooming by my head. I guess the army's attempt to desensitize me did not work.
In the afternoon I made a road trip up to northern Minnesota with Tom. Our mission was bear baiting. We managed to get four bait sites established, soaking wet and lost in a four hour period.
