Weather: AM - N 7, clear, 63 ˚, 30.07 rising / PM – calm, clear, 70 ˚, 30.00 steady
Location: Mississippi R. pool 7 AM – back sloughs, PM – main channel areas for flats
Caught: AM – 2 LMN 14& 16”, 6 crappies 9 – 12 “, and a few gills / PM – 10 crappies and gills in total (bait), 2 flat heads 12&10 lbs

Comments

This morning I started out on the Somners Sand Flats looking for bass and pike, but found none. I then tried a few areas around Somners for bass and pan fish with limited success. In the evening I caught some of my bait in Somners, but the majority of it came from the snag area by Popcorn. I fished Somners for flat and caught two. I fished both the north and south sides of the slough.

Water is still rapidly dropping and tonight was a full moon.
