How was the fishing? In one word it sucked! We tried about everything and anything, but it was not a successful fishing day. The day was hot, humid, sunny and calm, which is the type of weather I seriously dislike. The main channel is fantastically clear. I was able to see a quarter size clam shell resting on the bottom in six feet of water. I was like a little kid in a candy store, I could not get enough of looking for and seeing fish. It was as if a new world had opened that I had never been able to see before. I saw carp, smallmouth bass and suckers relating to the wing dams. This was definitely a first for me and something I look forward to seeing again.
