Comments:

I started out the morning looking for bass and pike on Lake Onalaska. I pretty much covered the whole thing and had very limited success. I just can’t understand where the bass and pike are on the lake, they almost seem to be non-existent. I did find some small bluegills and smallish crappies back in by Fishermen’s Road. I also caught some bluegills out on the islands.
The second half of the day was a bull frogging adventure with Jake and Mark Tupper. We were headed down to Battle Island Park and I was fearful of what the high water would do to our nocturnal adventure. It was not good, the high water had flooded most of the dry land and the frogs were tucked away safely in the trees and grass. We did hear some frogs, but we never did get any and Jake was the only one who actually saw a frog.

Observations:

The river is still very high and fast.
